Thrilling Isle of Man TT Qualifying Sets the Stage for Epic Road Racing Showdown

The 2024 Isle of Man TT kicked off this week, with practice and qualifying sessions setting the pace for this year’s edition. Stay tuned for updates on the 2024 Isle of Man TT results throughout the next two weeks.

Overview

Michael Dunlop topped the leaderboard in the Superbike qualifying session, piloting his Honda CBR1000RR-R to a lap time of 17:28.139. Davey Todd followed close behind on his Milwaukee BMW, with Peter Hickman completing the top three on his FHO BMW. John McGuinness, Dean Harrison, and James Hillier rounded out the top six.

In the Superstock qualifying session, Peter Hickman and Michael Dunlop dominated the field, with Hickman pacing the session on his FHO BMW. Dominic Herbertson took third place on his RK Racing BMW, with James Hillier and Jamie Coward completing the top five.

Davey Todd was the fastest rider in the Supersport qualifying session, posting a lap time of 18:01.425 on his Ducati Panigale V2. James Hillier and Michael Dunlop followed closely behind, with James Hind and Dean Harrison completing the top five.

Peter Hickman set the pace in the Supertwin qualifying session, lapping the course in 19:10.981 on his Yamaha R7. Davey Todd and Barry Furber completed the top three, with Mike Browne and Stefano Bonetti rounding out the top five.

Ryan and Callum Crowe topped the opening Sidecar session, posting a lap time of 19:23.921 on their LCR Honda. Ben Birchall and Kevin Rousseau followed close behind, with Peter Founds and Jevan Walmsley completing the top three.
