Cycling Enthusiasts Eagerly Await Davey Todd’s Isle of Man TT Supersport Debut on Ducati Panigale V2
Cycling fans are buzzing with excitement as Davey Todd prepares to represent Ducati at the upcoming Isle of Man TT Supersport race. The talented racer will be competing aboard the formidable Ducati Panigale V2, supported by the TAS Racing team and under the guidance of experienced crew chief Stewart Johnstone.
The Ducati Panigale V2 has already proven its prowess in short circuit Supersport racing, with Ben Currie and the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team dominating the 2023 British Superbike Championship. However, the iconic machine’s performance on the challenging Isle of Man TT course remains uncharted territory.
Commenting on the partnership, Todd expressed his enthusiasm, stating,
“It’s a pretty trick piece of kit, and there’s certainly no better-looking Supersport machine on the grid!” He further acknowledged the Panigale V2’s impressive pedigree, having “won pretty much everything in 2023.”
While the TT circuit presents a unique set of challenges, Todd is confident that the support from TAS Racing and the leadership of crew chief Johnstone will enable him to deliver strong results in the highly competitive Supersport category.
Johnstone, the Powertoolmate Ducati Team Principal, shared his excitement about the engineering challenge of adapting the Panigale V2 for the demands of the TT course.
“I must admit, from an engineering perspective and also leading this effort, I’m looking forward to the challenge of taking an iconic brand and partner back to the TT, in what I think can be regarded as the most competitive category at the event,” he stated.
Road racing enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating Davey Todd’s performance aboard the Ducati Panigale V2 at the upcoming Isle of Man TT Supersport race. With the bike’s proven track record and the experienced team behind it, the stage is set for an enthralling showdown in the competitive Supersport class.
