Cycling Enthusiasts Gear Up for Thrilling 2024 Isle of Man TT Supertwin Races
With the highly anticipated 2024 Isle of Man TT Races just under 50 days away, the top 20 seeded riders for the first Metzeler Supertwin and second Entire Cover insurance Supertwin Races have been unveiled. This competitive class often delivers surprise results, and cycling enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the action to unfold.
Leading the Pack
Leading the pack is Paul Jordan, who will line up on the Stop & Seal/Rev2Race Yamaha R7. The third-place finisher in 2022 will be aiming to secure a spot on the podium once again, facing stiff competition from another former podium finisher, Jamie Coward, riding the KTS Racing powered by Steadplan Kawasaki.
French Representation
The French contingent will be represented by Pierre-Yves Bian, who claimed second place in the second race last year, becoming the first ever Frenchman to secure a solo race podium at the Isle of Man TT Races. The number 4 plate will be taken by 2017 race winner Michael Rutter, returning on the Bathams Ales Yamaha R7.
Anticipated Favorites
Paton-mounted Michael Dunlop, the current lap record holder with a speed of 122.750mph, is one of the pre-event favorites, having already secured three victories in the class. He will start from the number 6 position.
Another potential race winner, Davey Todd, will line up at number 8 for the three-time race winners Dafabet Racing. Alongside him, Peter Hickman, the winner of two of the last three Supertwin Races, will be aiming for a hat-trick on his PHR Performance Yamaha.
