Isle of Man TT: Conner Cummins Withdraws from 2024 Event
June 9, 2024, Visordown
In a shocking move, Manx road racing star Conner Cummins has announced his withdrawal from the remainder of the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races. The news was confirmed by TT organisers late last night, who described Cummins’ 2024 TT campaign with the Milenco by Padgett’s Team as “uncharacteristically poor”.
Prior to the announcement, Cummins managed to secure an eighth-place finish in the previous race, bringing his Padgett’s Honda CBR1000RR-R SP home just five seconds ahead of Honda Racing’s John McGuinness. However, Cummins had earlier retired from both the Monster Energy Supersport Race and the RST Superbike Race.
“I have withdrawn from the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races with immediate effect, and will provide an update on my plans for the remainder of the season in the coming weeks. I’d like to thank all my sponsors and family for their continued support and wish my fellow competitors the best for the remainder of the TT.”

Cummins’ decision to resign from the Padgett’s squad for 2024 was expected to bring home wins and podiums, marking his eighth year with the Batley-based team. The Manxman has an impressive strike rate in TT races, with 12 podiums from just 16 race starts. However, it remains unclear whether this drop in form contributed to his withdrawal from the event.
The action continues on the Isle of Man today, with both the Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 2 and PE Superstock TT Race 2 scheduled to take place. Stay up to date with the latest Isle of Man TT news and results on Visordown.com, and follow the action-packed world of road racing with us.
