The 2024 road racing season officially kicks off on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Oulton Park. The Frazer Park Racing (FPR) club is thrilled to be back for their ninth consecutive year as a guest club with NG Road Racing, a leading name in Road Racing News.
Last year’s action-packed season saw championships decided in the final round, with some titles being claimed in the very last race. FPR is eager to pick up where they left off and make 2024 an unforgettable year for road racing enthusiasts.
The Return of FPR Bandit Challenge
The FPR Bandit Challenge is set to return, promising an electrifying 600cc Bandit production series that ensures a level playing field for all competitors.
FPR Classic Superbikes Classes
Additionally, the FPR Classic Superbikes will take center stage, divided into three classes:
- FP1 for pre-85′ machines up to 1300cc
- FP2 for ‘Battle of The Twins’ pre-2008 twin-cylinder machines from 725-1000cc
- FP3 for pre-98′ 750 four-cylinder machines
FPR GP1 and New FP3 Evo Class
Furthermore, the FPR GP1 category, formerly known as supermono, will feature prototype single-cylinder machines up to 800cc. This year, all FP classes will share the same grid, guaranteeing some intense and thrilling racing.
New to the 2024 lineup is the FP3 Evo class, catering to 750-1000cc machines produced before 2008. This era’s bikes, known for their speed and competitiveness before the advent of electronic aids, have been given a dedicated platform to shine.
FPR extends their gratitude to the NG Road Racing staff, marshals, and medical team for their tireless efforts and wishes everyone a safe and exciting weekend of Road Racing.
“We’re looking forward to some fantastic racing from this series as it grows throughout the season,” said Keith Chambers, Club Chairman.
