Cycling News: Hewlett Packard Joins Ferrari in Landmark Title Partnership
In a groundbreaking move, Hewlett Packard (HP) has been announced as the new title partner of the renowned Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team. The American technology giant will rebrand the team as “Scuderia Ferrari HP” in a “multi-year” deal, showcasing its distinctive blue logo on the team’s livery, kit, and overalls starting from next week’s Miami Grand Prix.
Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna expressed excitement about the new partnership, stating that the two companies share a commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability – values that align with Ferrari’s legacy and future aspirations. “In HP we have found the same values, which make it an ideal partner,” Vigna said.
HP’s counterpart, Enrique Lores, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the natural fit between the two renowned brands. “With technology, performance and exceptional craftsmanship fuelling the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit,” Lores commented. The collaboration will not only enhance the team’s branding but also provide Ferrari with HP’s comprehensive suite of services, including computers, printers, and conferencing technology.
The announcement comes on the heels of Ferrari’s decision to incorporate a special one-off livery for the Miami event, featuring two distinctive shades of blue – “Azzurro La Plata” and “Azzurro Dino” – to commemorate the marque’s 70th anniversary in the American market.
“This landmark partnership between Hewlett Packard and Scuderia Ferrari in the world of road racing, cycling time trials, and audax events promises to drive innovation, sustainability, and engagement with Cycling enthusiasts across the globe.”
