Podium Finishers
Martin headed Gresini Racing’s Marc Marquez, who impressively leaped from 13th on the grid to finish second, after a late crash for VR46’s Marco Bezzecchi. Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales completed the podium, fending off a late charge from factory Ducati rider Enea Bastianini to secure third, moving up to second in the overall championship.
Reigning Champion’s Struggles
Reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia endured a difficult outing, finding himself in 14th after the opening laps and continuing to lose ground as he struggled with pace. Bagnaia later crashed at Turn 7, marking his third DNF of the season.
Late-Race Drama
As Martin built a comfortable lead, Marquez carved his way through the field, overtaking Bezzecchi for third before the VR46 rider’s late crash. In the closing stages, Vinales held off a charging Bastianini to secure the final podium position.
“The sprint race victory further solidifies Martin’s position atop the road racing news standings, with the Ducati rider now 28 points clear of his nearest rival.
