Cyclocross News: Nash Dash CX Witnesses Dominant Performance by Caroline Mani and Kerry Werner
Caroline Mani and Kerry Werner of Groove Auto Off Road Racing swept the elite C2 races at Nash Dash CX in Hampton, Georgia, on day two, November 17, 2024. The duo replicated their winning formula from the opening day, breaking away on the final laps to claim solo victories on the rolling, grassy track at Nash Farm Park.
Elite Women’s Race
In the elite women’s race, Caroline Mani distanced 18-year-old Lidia Cusack (CXD Trek Bikes) after three laps, with Anna Dorovskikh (Donovan Racing p/b AES) and Mackenzie Myatt (Baring Performance Management) battling for third. Mani extended her lead, eventually winning by 1:06, while Cusack secured her second consecutive UCI elite podium. Dorovskikh followed in third place, 1:41 behind the leader.

Elite Men’s Race
The elite men’s race saw 10 laps of intense competition, with Kerry Werner taking charge after the third lap. Funston, the bronze medallist at the 2023 US Cyclocross Nationals, worked to stay close, while Caleb Swartz (ENVE-Forward Endurance Coaching) and Jules Van Kempen (Cervelo-Orange Living) battled for third. Werner eventually won with a 20-second gap over Funston, who finished second for the second consecutive day. Swartz secured third place, 36 seconds behind Werner.

Nash Dash CX Weekend
The Nash Dash cyclocross weekend, organized by East Point Track Club, marked its sixth season on November 16-17 and its fifth consecutive year at Nash Farm Park in Hampton, Georgia. As the 10th of 11 stops on the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Series, Nash Dash set the stage for the final round at North Carolina Grand Prix, held at Jackson Park on November 23-24.
