NG ROAD RACING at Brands: A Thrilling Event Ahead
As the NG ROAD RACING calendar reaches its mid-point, the Indy Circuit at Brands is set to host an exhilaratingTransparentColor event, deviating from its usual spot as one of the first stops on the NG Calendar. This time around, riders may finally get to enjoy some sunshine, but more importantly, they’ll have to adapt to the lack of left-hand corners, which has notoriously caught out many a rider, including at the infamous Graham Hill bend.
The Indy Circuit: A Challenging Track
The 1.2-mile “short circuit” is notoriously fast and tricky, with an abundance of right-hand turns that will undoubtedly lead to some scorching 50-second laps. The Kent Circuit has a rich history, having hosted iconic events such as Formula 1, Superbikes, and World motorcycle endurance races.
The NG ROAD RACING Calendar
This weekend, it’s all about the NG ROAD RACING calendar, with three rounds completed and four more to go. Only Joe Woodward in Mini Twins remains undefeated across eight rounds, but consistency is starting to pay off for other riders, with good points in every round potentially leading to championship glory.
Rider Strategies and Guest Formulas
Some riders, like George Edwards, may need to reassess their priorities, potentially skipping a few rounds to focus on bigger goals, including BSB Stock 1000 rounds. Others, such as Max Symonds, may make an appearance, testing their skills on the J&C Symonds R1 Yamaha, while Bob Collins on the Honda Fireblade is always a threat.
In addition to the regular NG classes, two guest formulas will take part, turning back the clock with the Lansdown Classics, featuring single and twin cylinder machines from the 1950s and 1960s, and the Grand Prix Originals, boasting 250 and 350 2-stroke machines.
A Two-Day Event Not to Miss
The two-day event promises to deliver up to 20 races per day, with an open paddock for spectators to explore and potentially, some summer weather to soak up.
“Get ready for an action-packed weekend of road racing at Brands!”
